Overview

Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se was founded durring the early 15th century in winter of the year 1409, by Zêb Collins. The establishment of Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Zêb Collins struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se as a prison colony.

Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se is buildings are arranged arround a single broad packed earth mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se’s streets. A look around Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se long.

Cultural Notes

Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se has a long tradition of martial expertise. This may be a crisply-organized history of skilled native levies, or it may be a natural belligerence in the people that leaves them familiar with bloodshed. While their neighbors and liege doubtless respect their talents, this very aptitude might make them more willing to turn to steel than prudence would advise.

Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is skipped in Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se.

The Necrocraft near Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves ritual combat to channel Illusion energies of tier 3 via guttural bellowing.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se was attacked by soldiers from another nation, with orders to raid Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se lost 108 people, 367 livestock, and 23 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 138, when members of Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se's militia enacted an operation to scout a specific location for information about a particular ruin. The operation was complicated by the enemy setting up an ambush. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in a stalemate for Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Fāfloqdèdíhgiē̼os Se's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
